You’re Missing One Heck Of A Social Media Party!

In my ongoing quest to provide brands with solid, data driven reasons why they should participate in Social Media Marketing, I present to you this awesome infographic.

Party Time?Beyond the ranking signals that can help your site in the search engines, just look at the amount of traffic and participation! That’s a lot of eyeballs on your message and what others are saying and feeling about you.

Another benefit here is what I call the “reality factor” of Social Media. Look at how many tweets are sent every 60 seconds. Sure, many of them may be about what food the person is eating, but what if that food is sitting on a plate in your restaurant, or what if that food uses an ingredient that you manufacture? That’s a lot of talk about your brand.

I always use the analogy of a cocktail party when talking to clients about Social Media. Imagine if your worst enemy could walk up to a conversation going on about you, and they could throw in little tidbits to move the conversation anyway that they wanted to! That’s what you’re missing by not taking part in Social Media.

Let the numbers speak for themselves. Facts are facts. Social Media Marketing is here, and it’s a very mature format. More people visit Facebook than any other web property. So, what’s your excuse for not coming to this party?
